Longboard Island Lager is a smooth refreshing lager fermented and aged for weeks at cold temperatures to yield its exceptionally smooth flavor. A delicate, slightly spicy hop aroma complements the malty body of this beer.

Poured so light I nearly passed on it. Mega- brew aroma with very light taste. Extra smooth, almost didn’t notice I took a swig. Better summer beers are out there.

Bottle pour. Pale golden with a decent white head. Sweet grain and lemon aroma. Oily light body. Taste is grain, lemon, with a light spicy hop finish.

12 oz bottle, poured into a shaker pint at approximately 40 degrees F. A: Pours a crystal clear pale golden yellow, absolutely loaded with tiny bubbles of carbonation everywhere. Forms a short-lived thin white head of foam that leaves no trace at all behind, not even a ring. S: Doughy biscuit malt opens the scent, which is soon joined by hints of soon-to-be-ripe wheat field and a very faint floral tone. T: Again with the soft dough biscuit, right up front, tasting much like the inside portion of a freshly-baked torn-apart biscuit. There’s some grassiness that comes in, like a timothy hay, and some subtle notes of apple and pear, perhaps even some white grape. Underlying all the rest, a floral tone so faint I can scarcely pick it out drifts by, intensifying briefly at the finish. M: Light in body, crisp on the tongue, with a watery finish. O: A good example of a pale lager, balanced and subtle.

Light straw colored beer with a thin fizzy bright white head. Fairly generic nose of sweet grain, musky hops, and butter. Flavor is sweet initially and develops pungent bitterness rather quickly. Effervescent and refreshing, it’s a step above a mass produced lager, but not much more.

Great beer for relaxing in the sun. Something good to buy a lot of if you're not really going for taste.
