Longboard Island Lager is a smooth refreshing lager fermented and aged for weeks at cold temperatures to yield its exceptionally smooth flavor. A delicate, slightly spicy hop aroma complements the malty body of this beer.

This pours a clear, pale goldenrod color with a slight, off-white head. The scent is of cheap, grassy grains. The taste and texture are rather thin, after all Hawaii is a warm climate year round. But what’s nice is this beer also delivers a decent taste while being lighter on the palette. Tastes a little like a German Pilsner. It’s easy drinking while delivering some good wheat and malt flavors, a pretty good beer for its style.

the aroma is malty with some hints of grasses, grains and flowers... the taste is light and refreshening, malty with notes of citrus, candy and flowers... smooth hopping... dry and bitter finish...

Less masculine than the classic german lagers, its aroma has some delicate citric and grassy and floral notes that remind me the american hops. Really well balanced. It’s so easy to drink and very good. An hawaiian pleasant and fine reinterpretation of the oldest of the styles.

355ml dark bottle, filtered. £2.29 from Beers & Bottles, Southampton. Pale coloured. Dry, dull malt base. Some modestly zesty hops add some exotic citric notes, but fail to really lift it. Drinkable and inoffensive and just a tad above the ordinary pale lager.

Smells like lager, taste like lager. It probably is a lager, but it’s not worth verifying. Somewhat okay.

Yellow color with hardly any head. Boring lager with a touch of citrus. A hint of earthy hops as well. Sorta refreshing. Meh.

Initial crispy taste with a slight bitterness, after that some sweetness and a tinge of citrus which fades kind of fast. Still, an ok beer, if not a bit on a watery side.

Bottle 0,33l. Pours a pale yellow colour that leaves no head. Aroma crisp clean but bland. Taste sweet and dry. Mild carbonation for a lager. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
