2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
Light gold color with a small head. I smell some yeast, coconut, and light wheat. I taste smooth pale malt. Not a bad lager.....

2.4 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle. A clear pale to medium blonde beer, with a small, frothy/fizzy, fully diminishing white head. The aroma is lightly malty (bread, corn). The flavor is moderately sweet, lightly bitter. Medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation, pretty dry and short finish with light to moderate bitterness. Uninteresting and unimpressive, but at the same time not offensive and super artificial. Fairly clean, instead.

1.9 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
Clear and very pale yellow. White head that disappears as soon as it has been poured. Hints of fruity hop aroma and some sweetness. Similar taste. Decent, but short aftertaste. Would be OK on warm day on the beach in Hawaii, but a bit to waterish for an already rainy day in Stavanger. However, it is still considerably better than Tuborg.

1.7 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 5/20

(bottle) Consumed within 60 days of bottling. Very pale golden complexion with thin head. A thin malted flavor which is mild and subtlety sweet. Very smooth palate. This could be easy to session.

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
pours straw yellow with a medium white head. Aroma is light malt, ever so faint hops. Tastes clean and smooth. A hint of non-specific spice, maybe clove, on the finish. Refreshing and tasty. A nice lager.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Draft sample. Clear pale gold in colour with strong carbonation. Fairly clean pilsner malt flavor, backed by some mild earthy/floral notes. Honey-sweet pale malts dominate the palate, but some mineral elements emerge on the back end. Very much like a German Helles, but with a bit more flavor concentration. Ok.

2.4 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Second beer in Newport Beach on 10 Mar 2014, In my daughters new place. Knackered after the flight from the UK and drive from San Diego, I was pleased to try two fairly low alcohol refreshing lager/pilsner style brews (this and Kona’s Big Wave).
slight haze to the light golden beer, thin white head that tried to hang around.
Fairly quiet smell and flavour wise, a bog standard summer brew with mild sweet feel rather than happier like it’s stable mate I had first.
OK, but I preferred the Big Wave, it had more about it.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Good enough beer. Nothing really special. Touch on the sweet side, but luckily there’s enough tang and bitter to balance. Workaday brew. No reason to go out of your way for it nor any reason to turn it down.
