COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Longboard Island Lager is a smooth refreshing lager fermented and aged for weeks at cold temperatures to yield its exceptionally smooth flavor. A delicate, slightly spicy hop aroma complements the malty body of this beer.

Not sure why the reviews are so meh. Middle of the road and its true on many counts but its exactly what it should be a light refreshing lager with a clean taste start to finish. Malty lager without any cloying bitterness. It has some spice but not overtly hoppy. I find it more approachable than most lagers. Along the lines of a Moosehead or maybe a Wheat Lager. I’d return to it but not often..

Lys gul med lavt skum. Malt, frukt, sitrus og kjeks i aroma. Kjedelig. Smaken er samme. Tynn/medium konsistens. Lite kullsyre. Fruktig i ettersmaken.

Pours in really pale body with almost no head. Aroma has some DMS, hay, too fruity for a lager. Taste is light hay sweet with medium astringent bitterness right after, long lasting. Grassy notes. Pretty bad for a lager. Body is medium, high carbonation.

Bottle 35.5 cl.
Pale and bubbly, with a minor white head, good lacing. Aroma of citrus, floral and even some corn. Taste better than expected, medium sweet. Rather soft mouth feel.

355 ml bottle. Pale golden with white head. Aroma of bread, tropical fruit and think malt notes. Taste is similar, tropical fruit, creamy, malt and bread.

Pours clear and softly golden with a flourish of bubbles and a fat white head that falls to a thin layer on top. Nose has the scent of light grain and some cut grass. Hints of flaky biscuit in the nose and a subtle noble hop presence. Taste is surprisingly smooth. It’s creamy and just rolls over the palate seemingly forever and without end. A touch of herbal and hop bitterness takes this one to the finish almost dry. The biscuit is doughy and the grains start to stand out on the palate . The carbonation is ample but it does not disturb the creamy smoothness of this beer. Overall I would call it earthy and a good and tasty lager. Mild overall and with a just enough hops to keep it interesting.

Pours pale yellow, foamy white top. Aroma has a bit of sour hops, malt, nothing too remarkable. Taste is quite usual lager, although decently brewed - a carbonated malty mouthful with a short finish. Spritzy drink that’s good on a hot day.

Bottle poured into a snifter. Pours a light gold. Fairly clear. White head of foam that dissipates quickly. The aroma is sweet, malty, grainy, crockery. dried grass. The taste is more on the sweet side. Dries out a bit in the finish. Light body and medium carbonation.

Pale straw. Light white Whispy head. Grainy, corn adjunct aroma. Slight corn adjunct flavor. Sips mostly malty and not as clean and crisp ad you would expect from a pale lager. Flavors of grainy malt. Not a fan of this brew.
