BeerZack (116), Austin, Texas, USA Mar 31, 2008 Clear light golden or straw in color with white bubbly head that is mostly a ring.
Sweet biscuity malt scent, slightly fruity with light floral hops over carbonic whiffs.
Pretty aggressively carbonated which stings the tongue, but less so than a macro all-malt.
Smooth and crisp, well-balanced lager. Actually not too bad, despite everything the appearance and aroma tell me. Slightly sweet and roasty, biscuity malt flavor that is balanced by a hop bitterness that builds towards the finish and is actually quite bitter, almost pilsner-like.
Surprisingly, this stuff isn’t bad! I would actually drink this stuff again.
llcooldave (180), San Antonio, Texas, USA Oct 7, 2008 Slightly cloudy and yellow in color. Very nice straw aroma with a hint of flowers and citrus. Crisp sweet malt flavor that finishes clean. A nice session brew. neo_hippie2 (128), Louisville, Kentucky, USA Oct 1, 2008 Pours a golden hazy amber with a thinner white head. Nice hop aroma with some malt in the background. Nice touch of hops to this beer, I wasn’t expecting it but I’m not complaining about it. Nice crisp finish. Good brew. jgb9348 (1846), Arlington (Pentagon City), Virginia, USA Sep 22, 2008 Crisp very hazy golden coloured body with a thinnish white head and a bunch of bubbles rising from the sides of the glass. Aroma of fresh hops, grass, yeast, wheat and a little sweetness. Medium-bodied; Strong malt up front with a spicey flavour and a potent malt backbone - a touch of hops near the finish. Aftertaste shows some pepper and a mostly malt finish. Overall, a nice and refreshing, clear and subtle finish with a good potent taste up front. I can’t say too much bad about this beer - it isn’t amazing, but isn’t bad in any respect! I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased on my 27th birthday, 30-June-2008 at Norm’s in Vienna, Virginia, sampled on 21-September-2008. CapFlu (3340), Victoria, British Columbia, Canada Sep 21, 2008 (Bottle) Thanks to Enniskillen for leaving these behind. Pours a thin, dissipating white frothy head atop a clear, well carbonated golden body. Nose of straw with mild undertones of corn. Fairly typical lager, a tad more corn than the sometimes lemon zest finish but good overall. 6/3/6/2/12 nearbeer (1317), Knoxville, Tennessee, USA Sep 20, 2008 12 oz, bottled May 08. Clear, golden-amber with a creamy, lasting quarter-inch head and lots of lace. Aroma of spicy honey and dry grass. Tastes of orange, honey, dry grain, resin and grass. Light-medium body is smooth and lightly carbonated, with a dry tingly finish.
