dlihcsnatas (35), Texas, USA May 6, 2008 Not much aroma to it but it does have a nice taste. While typical of most lagers this one is a bit better than most. It has a nice balance to it that gives a malty flavor at first sip but then the hops began to show themselves giving it a bitter finish. The Hawaiian words with translations under the cap are cool too. Wonder how many a person would have to drink to learn to speak Hawaiian.
daknole (492), Plantation, Florida, USA Jul 8, 2008 yeah another typcial (an not so great) american lager. Dont get me wrong it is better than the normal macro brewed crap, but it still isn’t all that great. Maybe a tad more hops and malt than you would expect. ucusty (760), Wake Forest, North Carolina, USA Jul 8, 2008 Gold pour with thick head head. Not another thin bodied beer from kona. Slightly spicy hop flavor with some carmel malts troopie (430), USA Jul 6, 2008 Bottle. Poured pale gold with a thick foamy head. Aroma of spice and sea water, not what you’d expect from a beer. Crisp clean malt flavour, good on a hot day. A bit of a good hop bite in the finish. A good session lager. SDbruboy (1808), San Diego, California, USA Jul 5, 2008 From six pack at a 4th of July party. Pours clear light golden with a small white head that dissipates quickly. Mild aroma, primary grainy malts with some floral notes, not much to describe. Sweetish grainy and toasty malt flavor, bit of grass and floral hop bitterness and hints of orange. Light to medium body and crisply tingly carbonation. Inoffensive and a good hot summer eve swillin’ beer. Snojerk321 (859), San Diego, California, USA Jul 4, 2008 Bottle from BevMo Mission Valley. Pours to a clear, pale yellow colored body with a medium white head that quickly fades to nothing. The aroma is a bit of light, pale malts, grains, and the barest hints of floral hops. Taste is mild pale malts, corn syrup, and a tiny bit of hop bitterness. Light bodied, medium carbonated.
