Longboard Island Lager is a smooth refreshing lager fermented and aged for weeks at cold temperatures to yield its exceptionally smooth flavor. A delicate, slightly spicy hop aroma complements the malty body of this beer.

Bottle. Well by looking at the label and seeing all the locations where it is being brewed they have been bought out by some conglomerate, my guess is AB. It is a harmless beer as nothing stands out and there are no flaws. Lawnmower beer applies with this one.

I do not wax on poetically about beer but I do know the quality of a beer once tasted. This review is not about my tastes but reinforces the numbers, which are arbitrary.

Pours a pale golden color. Aroma is malty and grainy. Taste is slightly bitter with malt presence somewhat fruity. Overall an ok beer, doesn’t stand out to me personally.

Bottiglia.

Bottle at the beach. Straight from the bottle. Sweet malty, grainy lager with typical bitter pils hops (a bit like raw beans) and slightly creamy under medium body. Hint of vanilla and very nice soft feel. Average carbonation.

Old ass 12 oz. single dated best by 1/27/16 into a pilsner. A: Poured a half inch of white head, falling ti a film. Crystal clear, yellow and bubbly. A little lacing. S: Sweet bready dough smell with the slightest hint of pepper or grass. T: Crackery malt flavor with a lingering bit of sweetness. Dry mild bitterness to balance. M: Light but not really watery body with nice carbonation level. Medium length bittersweet taste on the finish. O: Not bad but nothing sticks out as outstanding. A fresh bottle deserves a shot. Priced alongside much better options so not a repeat purchase.
