Longboard Island Lager is a smooth refreshing lager fermented and aged for weeks at cold temperatures to yield its exceptionally smooth flavor. A delicate, slightly spicy hop aroma complements the malty body of this beer.

In their efforts to be a popular but more sophisticated lager the kona people have created a terrible beer. Not refreshing or enjoyable.

Pours clear and straw-colored, with barely any head. The aroma is mild, and all I could pick up was a very weak hint of malt. The taste is "pale lager crisp", and bland. The mouthfeel is light and fizzy, like any pale lager.

355 ml bottle. Pours a clear pale golden color with almost no head left. Nose of malts and citrus hops. Quite dry and malty flavour. Medium bodied with moderate carbonation. A bitter finish with a strange metallic note. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Draft. Yellowish-gold pour, no head to speak of really. Corn, mild hops, touch of wheat in the aroma - eh, not bad. Simple, clean and smooth pale lager taste. There’s nothing offensive here, but it’s just a bland lager. Hard to rave about it. I don’t doubt it’d be great on a Hawaiian beach!

A smooth unimpressive lager. Sweet malt flavor and aroma. Not much goin on here but not a bad beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

On tap, poured into a shaker. The aroma is bread dough with a light, grassy spice, and a touch of honey late. The beer pours a clear straw pale with a foamy white head that only has a light retention, but moderate lace. The taste is a medium sweet and light bitter. The beer is smooth and oily with a light fuzz and light body. The flavors on the palate are honey and corn with a slick finish of honey and a mild, grassy spice that leaves a bready aftertaste.

Solid pale lager, poured golden. Aroma was grainy usual. Taste was crisp biscuit, mild sweetness, drier finish, decent body for a pale lager.

Clear gold with small soapy white head. Grassy. Straw. Lemon. Biscuit. Crisp. Clean. Mild dryness. Mild sweetness. Not overly sweet. Nice stuff. Does well is a mostly lackluster category (at the moment).
