An interesting aroma of malt, caramel, nuts, and roasted coffee. Tastes of coffee, chocolate, malt. A great earthiness and coffee finish. I wasn’t expecting this to be as good as it was - a very pleasant surprise. The bottle says this is a limited release, hopefully, they will keep this around for a little while longer. cstuartj (326), Washington, USA

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Mar 7, 2009 A chalky, choco-roast aroma with some sulfur undertones. Almost opaque black-brown, cool label, nice tan head. Very smooth, nice roastiness and character, very drinkable, not very sweet and not hugely bitter. Lots of body, but not clingy or too heavy. Doesn’t have the sourness or acidity that a lot of porters and stouts do. A good value, and a session stout. Foxbush (468), Richmond, Virginia, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Mar 4, 2009 Updated: Mar 8, 2009This was purchased at the Caboose in Ashland. It is an excellent porter. It is not available all year. I have visited this brewery on the Big Island many years ago. The porter poured with a smallish head and a deep black color. The aroma was of raosted coffee. This ia very smooth porter worth having again and again. Finish has roasted coffee flavors as well. This is great everyday Porter while enjoying TV. It is not a sipping Porter. walker7727 (8), USA does not count | 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Mar 3, 2009 From bottle. Smoothe and light mouth feel but still a very rich flavor. Coffee in every sip. Excellent drinker. nightrider (390), encinitas, California, USA

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Mar 1, 2009 Kona coffee comes through in this beer. Lot of coffee notes. Not much else though besides that. Decent finish, leaves a pretty nice after taste. Again, perfect for sunset on the beaches in Hawaii
