| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Oct 10, 2008 12 oz bottle from Bev4less. Pours an opaque black color with a small khaki head. The aroma is rich with coffee and a bit of mocha. The flavor is all coffee and nothing but coffee. The mouthfeel is medium malty. The finish is short with lingering coffee. Overall: As a coffee lover this beer really appealed to me, this despite its being rather one-dimensional. Recommended. jkaiser (227), Orlando, Florida, USA

Aroma is dominated by the coffee but smells incredibly smooth. The taste is definite coffee but there is also a nice roasted taste with some malt finish. Very solid porter. Definate coffee flavor, strong and stale. Also sweet. Palate is thin, but foam on the stash, which is a plus! CelticBrew (715), The Crystal Coast, North Carolina, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Oct 6, 2008 Pours black from 12 oz bottle, forming little to no foamy head, aroma of chocolates, coffee beans and coconut oil. Flavour much of the same, roasted malts present along with a particular hop balance. Pretty well made, however, the draft version I had at the recent WBF in Durham NC, seemed thicker, richer and had a good size brown foamy head. All in all, delicious and easily quaffable. fishingnet (1047), Brandon, Florida, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Oct 5, 2008 Bottle courtesy of Sebletitje. Pours a clear dark brown with a one finger light tan head that leaves good lacing. Aroma of coffee and not much else. Taste is coffee and light roasted malt. Medium thin mouthfeel with a mild amount of bitterness. Not very complex but I like coffee and find this beer to be quite tasty. nbutler11 (780), Phoenix, Arizona, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Oct 3, 2008 Pours black from the bottle with a fizzy brown head that quickly dissapates. Smells and tastes of sugary coffee, faint cocoa, and toasted malts. Predominantly sweet for a porter, but with a warm alcohol finish that helps distinguish it from others in the style.
