Pipeline Porter is smooth and dark with a distinctive roasty aroma and earthy complexity from its diverse blends of premium malted barley. This celebration of malt unites with freshly roasted 100% Kona coffee grown at Cornwell Estate on Hawaii’s Big Island, lending a unique roasted aroma and flavor. A delicate blend of hops rounds out this palate-pleasing brew.

Pours a clear dark ruby-brown color with a short, long lasting tan head. Plum and coffee nose. Cottony, scrubby, and creamy textures. Smoky olive, sour wood, caramel, and coffee flavors.

On tap at the Rec Room in Old Town. Appearance: two fingers of light brown head, dark brown color, clear. Aroma: coffee, chocolate, very slight roast. Palate: full body, oily texture, bitter finish, soft carbonation. Taste: sweet to bitter like dark chocolate. Overall, well balanced and likable, but not very complex.

Poured from bottle to glass. There wasn’t much of a head after pouring. Faint porter and coffee aroma. Great solid porter flavor throughout infused with a proper amount of coffee. Drinkable with big flavor benefits.

Poured from a bottle with no head or lacing. Nice roasty aroma. High amount of carbonation with the coffee flavor not too forced.

On tap. Jet black color with a one finger head. A coffee scent. Sweet taste of chocolate and coffee with a very short aftertaste. Feels watery on the palate.

Pours black coffee. Aroma is nice: kona coffee, cereal, hops are hard to find, some dough, leather?, more coffee... Taste is balanced with a nod to bitter. I wound up not enjoying the watered down iced coffee feel. Won’t buy again. Won’t drink again.

Bottle. Pour is deep brown/black. Aroma of coffee and chocolate, but not the overwhelming smoke that some porters have. Taste is not bitter but the coffee comes through nicely. Thin mouth-feel, but full taste.

Bottle 12 fl.oz fom Bier-Bienne (CH). Dark brown beer with fugacious beige head. Roasted aromas of coffee, cream, plum. Slight mouth, torrefied with fruity and earth. Taste with coffee household and its bitterness, notes of toast, macadamia, smoothness and fluidity. It’s not this coffee which will irritate.

Consuming 12 fl. Oz. bottle design. Black in the glass, small short living head, oily texture. Earthy and dark berry fruits with bitter chocolate on the nose. Starts smooth with herb chocolate and coffee. Light salty and sour, hop discreet but permanent present in the background. Not really what I like.

Love it. Coffee is the most apparent taste. Super easy drinking and not bitter at all which is how porters should be imo
