Commercial Description:
Pipeline Porter is smooth and dark with a distinctive roasty aroma and earthy complexity from its diverse blends of premium malted barley. This celebration of malt unites with freshly roasted 100% Kona coffee grown at Cornwell Estate on Hawaii’s Big Island, lending a unique roasted aroma and flavor. A delicate blend of hops rounds out this palate-pleasing brew.

Just too much coffee for me! This beer has a nice aroma and appearance, but as the label says "... 100% Hawaiian Kona Coffee". This draft ended tasting like a cold cup of coffee. I gotta pass on this one.

pretty darn good; no anchor porter, but still pretty darn good - lots of milk chocolate and coffee in a bitter, cold, and mildly carbonated beverage (i.e., beer); my favorite part is the great, heavy coffee aroma; ignore the thin smoothness...

Had on draft. Poured a pitch black color. Smell was heavy of coffee and also roasted malts, caramel and molasas. Taste was more of coffee again joined by roasted malts, chocolate flavors and some hops.

black ale with a half-inch brown head. coffee flavor quite evident--maybe too evident at first, being more prominent than malt and hop. finish is quite pleasant.

Not the biggest fan because of how one-dimensional this brew is. Pours black with kakhi, smallish head that has decent lacing. Aroma is fully kona coffee and the flavor is the same cup of joe. Mouthfeel is like drinking a coffee flavored soda. Okay.

Having the aroma of iced coffee, this pretty much drinks like a cool cup of coffee with light carbonation and a dark malty sweetness. In appearance, it’s a very dark mahogany, clear around the edges, with a slender tan head. Not a bad beer to wake up to.

Bottled, poured into chilled pint glass. Opened the bottle and immediately smelled roasted chocolate coffee beans. Very thin head and dark, dark brown color. If you want a coffee flavored beer this is one of the best i’ve had. Slightly bitter yet very smooth taste on the palate. It’s not a beer I could drink all day but a couple will treat you right.

Oh hell yeah this was an excellent porter. Quixotically sweet but dry, fun all around. I wish more porters had coffee right up front like this one did.
