A dark-bodied beer, with dark roasted, black-patent malts a pipeline through this porter in flavor in aroma. Strong deep, dry coffee flavor. Solid

Pouts very dark brown with a light brown head. Aroma of coffee and dark chocolate. Coffee is definitely the dominant flavor, but no so much so that it becomes overbearing, as in many coffee beers. Chocolate, some earthiness, and a mild acidity as well. Medium bodied. Could use some more malt depth, IMHO, but pretty dman good nonetheless.
Bottle from Liquid Solutions. I can finally check Hawaii off on my ’States Rated’ list!

Mode: Bottle
Source: Tasting
Appearance: clear dark brown, wispy tan head,
Aroma: big coffee aroma,
Flavor: nice rich chocolate flavor with just a touch of the coffee that’s so strong in the aroma, only after reaching room temperature does the coffee show up in the flavor and then it’s more of a smoky character

Came through the bottle with an intense dark malt aroma, along with rich black coffee and a faint pale ale-like citrus. I tasted the coffee first, followed by roasted malts and a bitter finish. It initially reminded me of Kahlua without the alcoholic bite; however, it does have quite a hop bite at the end and the bitterness of the hops and the coffee is compounded, which is what pushes this beer out of my favorites.
