Pipeline Porter is smooth and dark with a distinctive roasty aroma and earthy complexity from its diverse blends of premium malted barley. This celebration of malt unites with freshly roasted 100% Kona coffee grown at Cornwell Estate on Hawaii’s Big Island, lending a unique roasted aroma and flavor. A delicate blend of hops rounds out this palate-pleasing brew.

It’s a very balanced and attractive porter. Aroma is of fresh brewed coffee with some malt and chocolate. But mostly fresh coffee. Pours and opaque brown almost black. No light shines through this one. Very small head with light lacing. Medium body and mouth feel. Flavor is malt and a dark blend coffee with very mild sweetness. It’s very balanced. Some porter’s can be too sweet and this one is perfect in that area.

This is a surprisingly smooth porter with an excellent mild coffee flavor. Would (and did) buy it again. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Robe brune assez limpide.

BOD 9/2/15. Nearly black pour. Outstanding head volume, lacing and retention. Outstanding nose of rich dark roast coffee with a hint of roasted barley over a subtle chocolate. Body is a bit light for the style coming in at heavy light body with a semi-smooth texture. Above normal carbonation with a bit of effervescence in the middle and a fair burst in the finish. The flavor profile is good. It is balanced but not rich in flavor which hurts its complexity. Coffee is present and dominate, but not intense. The middle brings a subtle sweetness and also subtle hop bitterness. The finish is a slow fade of weak coffee.

Dark with red hue/ mahogony. Good creamy head, good spotty lacing. Aroma is sweet nutty roasty with almond vanilla coconut with cocoa, mild espresso/coffee.Slick lactose like. somewhat of a grassy earthy herbal. Same in taste which is saying a lot but aroma is more vivid than taste. Some mild acidity Good coffee porter. best one Ive had in a while. Well done for a bit milder/medium porter.

Pours translucent mahogany from the bottle with a thin off white head that leaves no lacing in the glass. Aroma is almost nonexistent, maybe some cola in there but not much. Medium carbonation on the tongue with a heavy dark roasted malt flavor. Backend has a coffee aftertaste. Nice porter.
