Nov 29, 2009 Sweet molasses and roasted coffee aroma black brown color with a thin tan head. Light on the palate, lingering bitterness from either hops or coffee. Almost no hops characteristic. The roasted malts pair well with the coffee. My only problem is the body is too light. Or it could have been a little sweeter.

Nov 29, 2009 A very pleasant beer. It has some nice coffee notes, but at the same time it’s fairly light-bodied for a porter. Refreshing and smooth, just like the picture on the label.

Nov 27, 2009 Bottle. Pours fizzy and deep brown with a small tan head, pretty lively. Aroma of milk chocolate, unsweetened cocoa, caramel, latte, and hazelnut. Smells great. Smooth and silky on the tongue, sweet, with a roasty bitterness emerging in the finish. Very mild, almost milky. Medium body. This is really quite nice. Thanks Dad!

Nov 23, 2009 Pours a dark brown color with ruby highlights. Aroma is roasted malt, coffee. Flavor was more roast and coffee but was offset by a lot of metallic pennies and weird oxidization. Mouthfeel was fairly thin. Not a great beer.

Nov 22, 2009 Pours dark, dark brown that is almost black with a little head. The aroma is chocolate and coffee with a nice earthiness. The flavor is coffee notes and rich toastiness, slight ashtray. The palate is dry with a light carb and a good body. Overall an interesting beer that is good for one bottle. Some nice flavors and some off flavors.

Nov 21, 2009 12oz bottle. Pours very dark brown with a moderate light tan head. Dry with decent but indistinct hops and a background of roasted malt and coffee. I had a hard time finding good beer while visiting Hawaii. This was a welcome relief when I could find it.

Nov 20, 2009 Bottled 10-7-09. Pours a dark choclate with a ruby red tint with a med tan to a cocoa colored head. Aroma of choclate, malt, and coffee. Great flavors of cold coffee and bitter malt, but thin on the palate reminding of a lager style beer. i would score this beer much better if it had some cream to go with the coffee.
