COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Limited release. Swimming in a fresh water pool at the base of a cascading waterfall is what we all imagine we would find in paradise. On Maui, follow the old Hana Highway and you will find such a place – Wailua Falls. This plunging cascade of clear water is the inspiration for our Limited Release Wailua Wheat. This golden, sun colored ale has a bright, citrusy flavor that comes from the tropical passion fruit we brew into each batch. Sit back, relax and enjoy paradise anytime.

Editor’s Note: Lilikoi Wheat was renamed to Wailua Wheat (both on draft and in bottle).

Beer pours a little hazy. A definate citrus/flowery taste to this. I guess it’s a beer I would expect from Hawaii. Not bad but not great. I might have a couple with the lai on then switch to a beer more my liking.

The beer pours clear straw golden with a very off white small head. The aroma is vague notes of sweet fruit and then nothing else. The flavor is the same, slight notes of the sweet passion fruit that taste watered down and are dying to come out fully. The body is also very light for the style.

Pours clear (uh oh) yellow with thin to no white head, aroma has notes of weird grainy notes, touch of fruit in there with a touch of grass. Taste is a bit better, has a bit of that tropical fruit, some refreshing apricot and tart tropical fruit, finishing a bit dry but pretty plain.

smells a lil like apricot. faint tho. when u actually drink it it has a little bit of foot smell. pours slightly hazy yellow... taste is mild salty front with a mild fruity salty finish. i think there are more hops in budweiser. I’m not crazy about this. passion fruit would probably not work well with a barley beer... or would it? i don’t like flavored beer but whatever. i don’t like wheat beer either. i guess for two things i don’t like in one beer this is pretty drinkable. the aftertaste is kinda dry and citrusy so at least i can muscle thru the pack. nite!

12oz bottle from my trip to florida. Pour is a hazy white yellow. Smallish white head. Aroma of celery salt, body odor, and weird vegetables. Real bad nose. Taste is wheaty, citrus lime, passion fruit and some yeastiness.

When I first took a sip of this beverage I thought to myself... this tastes familiar... almost like a wine cooler hint to it...besides that its not bad, smells of strong wheat more than citrus but its def worth picking up a 6 pack or trying on draft.
