COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Limited release. Swimming in a fresh water pool at the base of a cascading waterfall is what we all imagine we would find in paradise. On Maui, follow the old Hana Highway and you will find such a place Ė Wailua Falls. This plunging cascade of clear water is the inspiration for our Limited Release Wailua Wheat. This golden, sun colored ale has a bright, citrusy flavor that comes from the tropical passion fruit we brew into each batch. Sit back, relax and enjoy paradise anytime.

Editorís Note: Lilikoi Wheat was renamed to Wailua Wheat (both on draft and in bottle).

This beer has a distinctive appearance, a lager golden color with a faint haziness. Smell is refreshing, but smells like fruit and not like beer at all. Likewise the taste is weak on beer flavor (some wheat, maybe a little hoppy bitterness) and mostly fruit juice. Taste is not especially strong, but an aftertaste sticks around. Interesting, but not the best from Kona. ---Rated via Beer Buddy

Aroma of tropical fruit and wheat. Makes for a somewhat funky fragrance. Pours a clear pale yellow with a rapidly dissapating white head and no lacing. The taste is wheat up front with a weak fruit flavor bringing up the rear. A slight fruit/grain aftertaaste. Medium-light body with light, but crisp carbonation. Overall, Iím glad I only purchased one 12 oz. bottle. Not bad, but not one Iíd buy again.

Nice fruit beer that is crisp and refreshing and surprisingly good. I overlooked this beer so many times. So glad a friend put this bottle in my hand to try. Sweet and fruity taste and aroma that is well balanced.

Awesome fruit scent on the nose. Highly carbonated. Lack of any noticeable malt or hop flavor. Unremarkable. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

12 Fl. Oz. Bottle. Poured clear, golden, small white head that dissipated quite quickly. Aroma of wheat, some citrus fruit and some yeast. Taste is consistent, yeasty, fruity and not a lot of anything else. This is a nice refreshing summer beer but thatís as far as Iíll go, OK but not great.

Pours a pale straw with an ephemeral fizzy white head. Smells like bud light and passion fruit. Tastes like bud light and passion fruit. I get a little green tea, lemon, very light grain, wheat, tart finish. Palate is fizzy and watery. Meh.

Pretty weak. Thin and watery. Some fruity aromas and flavours. K notes of light grain add well. Average.
