thin and watery. very little aroma but what little there is being passion fruit. dominating passion fruit flavor with a little grain. easy drinking and not too sweet to turn me away but very simple.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle from my bro who brought it from Hawaii. Cloudy golden color. Smell of wheat, malt, citrus and wine. Taste of malt, wheat, citrus, tart and dry. At sometimes, theres to much wheat, and other times, there is to much sweetness.

1.9 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Well I know good wheat beers and this isnít one. Pours a somewhat hazy yellow like it doesnít know whether itís filtered or unfiltered. Good carbonation but it comes with a stale wheat malt flavor and something I canít pick up - so it must be the passion fruit. Finish is dry for a wheat and uneven. Good for Kona itís just a seasonal so they donít subject their customers to this year round.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
Small white head that fades quickly to a thin ring, sparse spotty lace. Hazy, pale gold color. Nose is lightly spicey, yeasty with faint citrus notes, minerally. Body is light, low carbonation, almost watery. Light toasted malts, lemony notes, faint grassiness, lightly metallic with some yeasty notes as well. Dry, light, crisp quick finish. Bottle procured in a trade with SDbruboy, thanks Cliff!

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Pours a clear gold with small white head. Aroma of sweet passion fruit and grain. Flavors are pretty much the same. A bit artificial, but still refreshing.

2.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
12oz Bottle, 9/16/07. Pours a deep gold with foamy short lived foam that leaves very subtle lacing. Aroma is Ringwood yeast at itís best, slightly tart and fruity, with underlying artificial passion fruit notes. Flavor is surprisingly balanced, figured this one to be a sugar bomb, but that fake fruitiness is just too damn annoying.

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
UPDATED: SEP 17, 2007 Rerate After working on the six pack over the weekend - it began to grow on me. Up a notch or two. Original 2.3 Tallahassee, Fl. - Liquor Loft - 12 oz bottle. Pours a medium golden, slightly murky, with a light, quickly fading white head. Faint, berry notes - some passion fruit comes through in the finish but overall is a bit muddled. Boring, lifeless mouthfeel. Overall, needs work.

1 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 1/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 3/20
bottle. hazed yellow with a thin white head that leaves a film on the surface. aroma- not very inviting, i just finished a 5 hour XXX trek across denver & this is not starting well. cooked green beans & something i guess is the passion fruit coming through? sharp dead flower scent. the taste made me die a little bit. this is horrible, probably the worst beer iíve had this year. tangy chemicla fruit yeah, now i know not to buy a beer with passion fruit again at least. tastes like old ladies smell. thatís all i can take. iíve got to go brush my teeth now.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle: Vibrant straw, slight golden hue, minor haze, moderate foamy white head, decent lacing but nowhere like most Wheats, very light carbonation.   Fairly strong Passion Fruit nose, otherwise a bit of cereal and plant roots.   Minor Passion Fruit sweetness on the tongue, a little dry, a little mealy (cereals), and with a good bit of Cactus too.   Perhaps its a bit wheaty, but everything else dominates this beer.   Finishes fairly clean, lingering Passion Fruit, Cactus, and cereal.   Certainly interesting, and one of a kind, but I wished it would be more Wheat like and less fruity.
