3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 drseamus (103) - Troy, New York, USA - DEC 24, 2007I got this beer on tap at the brewery while I was on vacation there. This is a wheat beer with passion fruit (lilikoi) added at the end of the mash. The passion fruit is apparent in both the aroma and the taste. It pours a straw colored beer with a white head. As mentioned before, the aroma is dominated by the passion fruit. The taste also has good passion fruit flavor, but not as strongly as the aroma. There are also wheat flavors and a good tartness to balance the fruit. It drinks very smoothly and has a light to medium body. This would be an excellent warm weather session beer for anyone who likes slightly fruity beers.

Gold pour with a quick thin head. Aroma is grainy, light wet wheat, over ripe tropical fruit.
Lively mouthfeel
Flavour is slightly sour wheat body. Grainy. Very little passion fruit character.

not too bad refreshing brew that would really be good on a warm day. Nothing to do a headstand but still thought this was a quality brew

From a bottle at the On Tap summer beer tasting. Pours a cloudy pale gold with a white head. Slight pineapple aroma. Crisp and light with a flavor I am not too found of.
2.9 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Awktoberfest (94) - Davenport, Iowa, USA - MAY 22, 2013
Yeah...pretty refreshing... Pick up on the passion fruit at the end...decent wheat... Not as special as when you are sipping on it at the Hawaii Kai brewpub or in its native home but ok.. Wish it was kona brewed not Portland or Washington or NH brewed.. Good luau beer or lawn mower beer. Super clear and light look with a white head that leaves quickly.

I’m not sure what to make of this. Kinda sour and tart, certainly fruity. Not too good.

Might be better if it was just a crazy named wheat beer without throwing in a token tropical ingredient. The citrus aftertaste is a little funky and detracts from enjoying the pretty solid wheat beer. Maybe it’s better on a beach when it’s 110F and sunny.
2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 tmongoose (668) - Louisville, Kentucky, USA - MAY 15, 2013
12oz bottle shared . Poured light clear yellow with a fast moving white head. Aroma wise i get very little malt and light fruit. The flavor is just as mild. Carbonated Nd the only fruitiness I get is on the after taste really not a lot going on.

Bottle. 5/11/13. Pours a pale yellow with a thin, bubbly off-white head. Aroma is bitter, earthy, yeast, citrus, bread. Taste is mostly yeasty, bready with some hints of citrus. I pulled no fruit notes out of this other than some faint citrus. Reminds me of the macro-produced American Pale Lager. Looks like urine. Not good. Disappointing.

Bottle from Rehills, Newcastle. A pale straw coloured beer with sweet passion fruit flavours, slight sugary fruity ‘ice pop’ notes and more sweetness on the finish.

Imported bottle. Was pleasantly surprised by this, light citrus touches with the passionfruit coming through as a long aftertaste. An enjoyable beer.
