COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Limited release. Swimming in a fresh water pool at the base of a cascading waterfall is what we all imagine we would find in paradise. On Maui, follow the old Hana Highway and you will find such a place – Wailua Falls. This plunging cascade of clear water is the inspiration for our Limited Release Wailua Wheat. This golden, sun colored ale has a bright, citrusy flavor that comes from the tropical passion fruit we brew into each batch. Sit back, relax and enjoy paradise anytime.

Editor’s Note: Lilikoi Wheat was renamed to Wailua Wheat (both on draft and in bottle).

Nothing really sticking out on the aroma to me but it is an above average wheat with a good passion fruit flavor on the aftertaste.

not too bad refreshing brew that would really be good on a warm day. Nothing to do a headstand but still thought this was a quality brew

From a bottle at the On Tap summer beer tasting. Pours a cloudy pale gold with a white head. Slight pineapple aroma. Crisp and light with a flavor I am not too found of.

Yeah...pretty refreshing... Pick up on the passion fruit at the end...decent wheat... Not as special as when you are sipping on it at the Hawaii Kai brewpub or in its native home but ok.. Wish it was kona brewed not Portland or Washington or NH brewed.. Good luau beer or lawn mower beer. Super clear and light look with a white head that leaves quickly. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

I’m not sure what to make of this. Kinda sour and tart, certainly fruity. Not too good.

Might be better if it was just a crazy named wheat beer without throwing in a token tropical ingredient. The citrus aftertaste is a little funky and detracts from enjoying the pretty solid wheat beer. Maybe it’s better on a beach when it’s 110F and sunny.

12oz bottle shared . Poured light clear yellow with a fast moving white head. Aroma wise i get very little malt and light fruit. The flavor is just as mild. Carbonated Nd the only fruitiness I get is on the after taste really not a lot going on.

Bottle. 5/11/13. Pours a pale yellow with a thin, bubbly off-white head. Aroma is bitter, earthy, yeast, citrus, bread. Taste is mostly yeasty, bready with some hints of citrus. I pulled no fruit notes out of this other than some faint citrus. Reminds me of the macro-produced American Pale Lager. Looks like urine. Not good. Disappointing.

Bottle from Rehills, Newcastle. A pale straw coloured beer with sweet passion fruit flavours, slight sugary fruity ‘ice pop’ notes and more sweetness on the finish.

Imported bottle. Was pleasantly surprised by this, light citrus touches with the passionfruit coming through as a long aftertaste. An enjoyable beer.

Not bad. It’s a pale ale with a bit of citrus and other fruit. Goes down easy, but nothing special.
