A bottom-fermented dark beer speciality, which is manufactured in traditional Bavarian brewing procedure.

Kuldioxid: medium niveau.

Bottle at the Brussels Beer Cafe, Kuala Lumpur. Poured a clear medium amber with a big frothy white head and lots of broken lace. The aroma is malt, burnt treacle. The flavour is light to moderate bitter, light sweet with a light malt, toffee caramel palate and a light sweet bitter finish. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. A bit of a shock up front but quickly began to accept it. I can’t say I like it that much but I don’t dislike it either.

Bottle. Clear dark-brown colour, small white head. Aroma is a bit chocolate and metallic hop. Taste sweet, with a nice bitterness, short finish with a few roasty aromas. Carbonation is fizzy, a bit too much, mouth feel more watery. Few roast and typical dark beer aromas, strange metallic astringent aftertaste. No Schwarzbier of my taste.

Bottle. Dark amber-brown with a nice beige head. Pleasant malty and slightly roasty aroma. Sweetish with caramel, roasted malts and chocolate flavors. Medium-bodied, easy to drink. Nice well-made Dunkel.

500ml bottle. Date on back reads 300714 F. Poured into my hefe glass. Almost entirely hazy amber brown color. Bigger 2-finger off-white head. Leaves good, thicker splotches of lace. Medium body. Nice, smooth, kind of creamy texture. Lightly dry finish. Nice lightly soft lighter carbonation. Great milk chocolate flavor, light nuttiness, hints of banana. Moderate sweet taste, very light bitter. Very light spiciness. Pretty tasty, easy-drinking, great dunkelweizen. Better than expected. Great one to enjoy with my sandwich.
