A bottom-fermented dark beer speciality, which is manufactured in traditional Bavarian brewing procedure.

Aroma: Medium-light toast, caramel, light roasted, rye hint, banana, Munich malt. As it warms up, light chocolate. Appearance: Brilliant, brown body. Small, light-brown head. Large brown. Fair retention. Flavour: Medium Munich malt, caramel and light rye. Medium-light, balancing bitterness. Medium-light chocolate. Medium-light dry finish with lingering Munich, light licorice. Mouthfeel: Medium-light body. Medium carbonation. Overall: Complex, but still easy drinking. Enjoyable and something you can drink in volumes, or sip slowly. 500 ml bottle, poured. 8A. Munich Dunkel

Znakomite ciemne piwo z książęcego browaru, z odcieniem mochoniowym. Nie jest czarne lecz rubinowo czerwone. Słodowo gożkie, doskonale zrównoważone. Śliczna i mocna piana która pozostawia wasy na szkle

Bottle 500ml, abv was 4.5. Great beer. Aromas of caramel, biscuit, vanilla, and chocolate. Taste is sweet, and long lasting. Palate is almost creamy, with medium body. Dark brown, with a frothy and persistent white head.

Bottle (50cl in Bavaria): I’ve hardly got a bad word to say about this beer, one of the best dunkels I have ever tried & an excellent beer. Even the head tasted good. * * * 1001 beers to try before you die: * * *

Brown color with huge sticky off white head. Malty aroma, almost sweet with touch of hops. Very malty, biscuity, caramel flavor. Very good balance between sweetness of the malts and hop bitterness. Medium body with fine carbonation. Great lacing. Excellent beer!

0.5 l bottle. 05.08.15. Deep amber / mahogany colour with a creamy light tan head, which lasted well and left some very nice lacing. Sweet, malty aroma with vanilla, sweet chocolate, a touch of roastiness and some caramel. Light / medium sweetness and only a hint of bitterness. Light to medium body; slightly thin but smooth texture and average carbonation. A quietly confident beer. I could happily spend an evening on this one. 8.
