Commercial Description:
This is Royal Barvarian Hefeweizen. Why are the Bavarian Royal Family and King Ludwig so important to brewing history? The Bavarian Royal Family had sole rights to brewing Hefe-Weizen on Bavaria for over 200 years. No wonder we are the leading experts on wheat beers!

Bottle 330ml. Nice heffeweizen. Aromas of banana, and citrus. Taste is sweet throughout, with a sour touch, and average duration. Oily palate, with medium body. Cloudy yellow, with a frothy white head.

Shared a few beers with Cavie at the Saucer. Smells like bananas and clove with some sweetness. Taste is more banana and clove with bubblegum. Labeled as König Ludwig.

Bottle at the Saucer. Slightly hazy golden orange appearance. Some wheaty smell. Also a bit of citrus. The lemon slice may have a hand in that. Taste is very citrusy with lots of grain. Slightly dry on the finish but not bad.

Deep golden yellow color with a fluffy coca-cola type head that settles slowly. Aroma of grapefruit, banana and spring flowers, background of light pepper. Refreshing, smooth and light, citrus flavors with hints of yeast. Medium to light body. Easy to quaff and reasonable wheat.

330ml bottle. Bright honey gold colour with a medium tight knit head. A little cloudy with vanilla and banana overtones coming through. Nice and light in the mouth with a cleansing taste on the palate.

12oz pour. Smelled of rotting bananas immediately out of the bottle. Sticking my sniffer directly in the juice adds maybe a bit of cherry to the mix but nothing too desirable. Body follows with similar flavors, maybe a hint of vanilla and cardamom thrown into the mix. Pretty decent palate, not too sharp not too soft. Finish is decent but this is nothing that gets me too excited. One of the less appealing german-made Hefeweizens I have ever had.
