2.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Huge hoppy bite (too much for the style)?, not much malt--or anything but water or CO2, really--to stop it. Underwhelming; surprised this one makes it as far as the US (LH Senator lounge, EWR)

Hazyish golden color, average white head. Some lacing. Light to medium body, average carbonation. Aroma of malt, noble hops. Solid amount of bitterness, but empty. Still, very much drinkable.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
"A malt heavy pilsner, though still with that classic noble pils bite. I’ve had better examples of the style, but I’ve had much much worse. Sessionable and good with many dishes. Crisp and clean if not terribly exciting."

Bottle. Clear yellow with a small white head that quickly fades away. Aroma- honey, floral, caramel and cereals. Sweetish, pale malt grainy flavors, medium grassy bitterness. Light-medium bodied, dry-ish mouthfeel, lively carbonation.

26.07.2014, tap @ Restaurant Rathaus-Hof, Lübeck:
Nice creamy mediumlasting head. Aroma is slightly sweet grainy, caramel malts, hay, nuts, cereal, paper, grass. Taste is slightly dry, hay, light malts, weeds, paper, hints of nuts and caramel. Medium bitterness, slightly mineraly and grainy mouthfeel. Fair enough.

Pale clear golden color looks like a macro light bit tasting reveals some substance, especially worth the substantial herbal/Grassy hop load.
Near medium body.
A light but hop forward German pils.

2.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Bottle. Pale golden body with a big, fast disappearing white head. Malty aroma with noble hops, light flowery. Taste is grainy with grass, kind of metallic in finish, short malty and bitter aftertaste. Sub par german pilsner.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Classical northern Germany-style Pilsener (German bitterhops are used); clean maltiness, crisp, honest and pure barley taste, delicate and robust, thirst-quenching hop bitterness in the finish. One of my favorite Pilseners, tasted from bottle and from tap and the latter was even better.
