2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 neur0 (134) - GERMANY - JAN 21, 2012

500 ml bottle. Yellow brew slightly hazed by some particles. Rocky white head with good lacing. Nose of fresh malts and hops. Grainy pilsner malts wrapped by a good amount of aromatic hops, floral and herbal tones with a touch of honey. Creamy texture and soft carbonation, very smooth. Almost full bodied for what a pilsener can be. Perfect example of a German Pilsener.

A typical pilsener with a light dough malt aroma with some grass and skunk. Very clear pale straw yellow color. Lightly sweet with a bitter, stale finish. Smooth textured and very easy to drink. Not as good as fleet mate Bitburger.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 10/20 madvike (1294) - Middleton, Wisconsin, USA - DEC 4, 2011
500ml can - Pours straw yellow with a foamy white head. Light grainy aroma with faint, faded floral hops, a bit of honey, and just a touch of alcohol. Tastes a little skunky, with the same sweet light malt, a bit of honey/cane sugar, and some sharp hoppiness. Really velvety carbonation fills up the body a bit, but can’t hide that this is a pretty boring pilsener. Date says 06 02 2012, so I’m assuming this isn’t past date, but I’m not convinced it’s fresh. If it is, then this is certainly not the pilsener I’m looking for.
