Out here we have a "discount lager" beginning with an "L" which contains a nutty flavour, different from DMS, I swear (at least in the vegetal sense... imagine matcha tea)... this one had the same lingering finish, the only two lagers I’ve had with that flavour. Other than that it was different from crap lagers of course, because of the crispness, grassiness, noble-le-ness, and... well... it was actually a bit sticky, but not that bad.

Pours golden color with a medium head. Aroma of clove, yeast, wheat and some mild fruits. Flavor of fruits, wheat, spices, yeast and butter.

Appearance: buttery gold, with two fingers of frothy white head shrinking to a soapy collar, with minimal lace cling. Aroma: white toast, grass, hay, white pepper. Taste: as the aroma indicates. Finish: crackery, buttery-sweet malt. Notes: Pretty solid pils in my opinion. The lingering crackery finish was a particularly nice note.

A nice finger of head formed on a clear, golden colored body. The aroma is a nice scent of grain with a touch of honey. The taste is great. A mild bitterness throughout with a clean finish. The texture is crisp with moderate carbonation. This beer stands out in that it does not have the sticky sweet or metallic taste that accompanies too many pileners.

Canette 500ml. De couleur dorée et claire. Nez de grains de malt pâle frais, léger de houblon herbeux avec quelques notes de pain. Moyenne-mince en bouche avec un pétillement moyen et un peu croustillant ainsi qu’une texture aux notes crémeuses. Goût de grains de malt pâle légèrement sucrés et aux notes croustillantes dès l’entrée en bouche auquel se rajoute un léger goût de pain puis en finale l’on retrouve une légère amertume de houblon herbeux (foin, notes de gazon mouillé). Post-goût moyen-court aux notes sèches, légèrement amer de houblon herbeux.

Draft. Pours clear gold with a thin head. Grainy-ish malts, low bitterness, and low sweetness. Relatively clean. Not awful; it would need a little bit more hop character to be actually good.

Tap @ Fichterkrälzi. Pours a golden orange with a large, white head. Aroma is grass and grain. Taste is neutral and mild. Grass and grain turn up in the middle with a light cardboard as well. Finishes with strong light malts. Light and watery.

Pale gold with a fine bead head. Aroma is yeasty, like fresh baked bread along with some faint grassiness. Light bodied with mild maltiness and decent hop bitterness. A fine example of a german pils.

Bottle. Pours clear pale golden with airy white head. Clear aroma of hop with a citrusy note. Bitter taste of hop. Watery mouthfeel. Quite dry aftertaste. OK.

Bière Pilsner absolument sans gout sauf un très léger gout de sucre et un pincement amer surprenant à la fin . Je ne suis pas un fan de pilsner à la base, peut-être qu’à 30 degré au soleil ce serait différent qu’en janvier à 20 sous zéro. Elle est très claire pour une blonde et à quelques touches d’être une blanche. Son arome est frais, me fais penser au concombre Elle donne une légère ligne de mousse éphémère, que je n’ai pas eu le temps de gouter. Imaginez une labatt bleue de meilleure qualité... C’est une bière en subtilité que je n’ai pas encore la capacité d’apprécier.
