2.1 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 7/20
Keg at the Flying Pig, Cambridge. Oh the curse of the rater: some delicious ales tonight but I’m drinking this. Mid gold, clear with plentiful carbonation. Thinnish white film of head. Smells like wet cardboard with a bit of piss. Pissed-on-by-a-sick dog cardboard? Taste is saccharin with an acrid note. Body is fine but my oh my this is a hard sell.

2.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
UPDATED: APR 1, 2015 Very rich aroma of floral hops, hay and roasted malt with some skunkiness to it. Pours clear golden liquid with a frothy white head. Tastes very fresh, almost watery, with a flavour of bitter, grassy hops. The palate is just like water, feels very light in the mouth, thin and creamy texture and surprisingly not very fizzy. Aftertaste of bitter hops. I’m kind of diappointed that the diverse aroma didn’t translate into the flavour. It’s still a decent Pilsener though and definitely very drinkable.
