4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
UPDATED: FEB 21, 2011 500ml can. A very good pilsener, very smooth mouthfeel and excellent taste of fresh lemony, springy hops, Der Koenig der Biere? Maybe not, but it beats the shit out of Budweiser.
12 oz bottle, I’ve also had this from a can and it was pretty good.
It pours a deep gold with a nice big white head.
One of the better smelling pilseners, this is the definition of a balanced traditional pilsener in the nose.
It is one of the more flavorful pilseners, it is nicely balanced, not the best flavor, but good.
It’s a great pilsener, maybe better out of the can too which is rare.

An ok pilsner overall. Light blonde liquid, smells little bit metal and leave a bitter aftertaste.

I?ll have to say that German "domestic" pils is much more flavorful than what we have in the states. That said, this was more for entertainment than anything. Not really that good but after slamming a tall boy in 10 minutes I?m glad I drank it.

Slightly hazy, highly carbonated, thick head, really nice lacing. I was in the mood for a Pils and this was at a pretty low price, so I figured it was worth a shot. Floral and Grassy. Too sweet and fruity. Almost a champagne like quality. Not what I have come to expect in a Pils. Not bad overall, just not what I am looking for in the style.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
This is a classic pilsner. It could serve as a baseline for the style. The aroma is both malty and hoppy. The appearance is pale with high carbonation but a thin head. The taste is excellent, rather grainy with the distinctive pilsner bite on the end and a long finish.

330ml bottle from Hipercor.
In short: a hoppy pilsener.
Pours quite clear bright gold, with nice white head, poor retention, some lacing. Malty, sweet, grasy aromas. Light body, high carbonation, crispy texture. Taste is malty sweet, some honey, herbal, grassy, mild bitter. Dry finish. Correct one.

On tap @ König LÜBECK. Schiuma bianca fine poco persistente. Gialla dorata cristallina. Aroma debole, malto , cereali , su tutto riso bollito, miele d’acacia e poco erbaceo da luppolo. Gusto dolce abboccato all ingresso, miele e malto riconoscibili, sul finale vira all amaro. Erbacea, un filo resinosa. Watery, poco carbonata, poco calda. Equilibrata, poco amara per lo stile, abbastanza armonica.
