| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Nov 28, 2007 Draught at beerbistro - first keg ever sold on tap in Canada. Beautiful soft lemony note in aroma reflected in a mild citric acidity on the tongue. Fruity without being heavy. Definitely a delicate beer to be enjoyed as fresh as possible. More sassy than our own excellent Chambly. Somehow not wildly beyond the "ordinary" Wit yet a little bit itriguing. Stellar refresher. Thanks to Brian and Stephen for importing these Draught Trappist ales. GregClow (2496), Toronto, Ontario, Canada

As jerc already noted in his review, I found this to be a solid textbook example of the style: hazy yellow with a large, fluffy white head; mild aroma of yeast, wheat, lemon and a hint of clove; soft mouthfeel; spot-on wit flavour that follows exactly what the aroma suggests you’ll be getting. VERY glad I had the chance to try this on draught, as I can see this being a beer that would suffer from a trip across the Atlantic in bottles. jerc (3911), Toronto, Ontario, Canada
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Nov 27, 2007 Draft @ Beer Bistro in Toronto. Served up in its proper glass, its a hazy pastel yellow with a beautiful large foamy head. Moderate aroma of the standard wit beer components - lemon, and yeast are rather well balanced. Flavour is a similarly well implemented standard wit profile, I believe GregClow’s word is best: Textbook. Modest citrusy lemon and a pleasant wit yeastiness throughout it was exceptionally fresh, quaffable, and refreshing. Rather nice. Kudos to Beer Bistro for being the first to have this on tap in Canada. patrick767 (2033), fort wayne, Indiana, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Nov 21, 2007 Updated: May 21, 2009draft sold as La Trappe Witte - Pours cloudy yellow with a big, enduring head. It smells of yeast and citrus and has a similar taste along with a touch of spice. It’s light as a witbier should be without being watery and is simply a well done witte. yespr (12105), Copenhagen O, Denmark
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Oct 28, 2007 33 cL bottle. Pours hazy yellow with a large white head. Wheaty and yeast spiced aroma. Flavour semi dry wheat with a slight spice note towards the finish. There is a slight orange fruity note breaking a very wheaty flavour. So wheat dominant that it reminds me more of a German hefe-weizen than a Belgian wit bier. By far not the best within the style. ChrisThomson (394), Toronto, Ontario, Canada

Pours a nice cloudy pale yellow with foamy head. Has nice spicy, yeasty aroma, but the found the beer overly sour to be great. JayBaxter (387), Greater Manchester, Greater Manchester, England
