| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Sep 10, 2007 33 cl bottle, from Monastery gift shop just outside Cadubec en Caux, France. Pours mostly clear yellowish orange with a huge fluffy white head and abundant bubble streams from the bottom of the glass. Citrus, wheaty aroma with yeast and spice accompanied by a somewhat pungent, almost mildewy note which brought the score down a bit. Tart and refreshing flavor, wheaty cereal grains, bolstered by more citrus and spice. Light to medium body and crispy-tingly carbonation. Not bad. Russo (595), Campinas, Brazil

| 1.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Aug 11, 2007 Bought this in Tilburg as La Trappe Witte. Cloudy light golden body with a large white head. Rather weak in terms of my expectations. Not a whole lot of flavor, slight citrus/spice, but not enough. I would have liked more sweet melon/orange flavors, but this was really lacking in that department. Moderate alcohol content for the style, and adequate "astringent" qualities from the grains, but that was it. garthicus (1276), Toronto, Ontario, Canada
