| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Nov 5, 2009 Bottle 33. Classic Witt beer with a hazy blanc colour and a big white head. Smell of citrus and soe astreingence can be detected, quite dry, aorma of agrumes. Less intresting than the other ales of La trappe. 17thfloor (1479), Chicago, Illinois, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Nov 3, 2009 Really happy to find this on draft at Binny’s Southloop. Pours a very hazy but see-thru light straw yellow with a medium thin white sudsy fluff. Smells like a nice witte, fair amount of lemon, crisp, yeasty. Flavor is quite nice and true to a wit, some chalky bitterness, sharp lemon cookie, a bit watery though, yeasty aftertaste. Neat to see the Koningshoeven yeast character shine through in a wit, has the same type of sweetness also. Medium bodied with crisp carbonation. ricke (240), Malme, Sweden
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Nov 2, 2009 Pale golden color with a big white head that stays around for a while and leaves nice lacings.
Primarily wheat and white bread in the nose with notes of sweet fruits (mostly oranges) and mild hints of spices. Hints of medicinal phenols as well.
The flavor is rather sweet, even for a witbier, with predominant notes of wheat, crackers, malts and sweet orange-like fruit notes. Restrained spicy aromas. The finish is also fairly sweet with a mild bitterness and clean fruit esters and medicinal phenols.
The body is light and the beer is very easy to drink.
All in all, not bad, but nothing spectacular either. Lacks some balance considering the sweetness.

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Oct 25, 2009 Bottle. Pours a hazy golden color with a very nice white head, some lacing. Very spicy, fruity aroma with lemon peel, orange and banana. Flavour is lightly dry, acidic and very spicy with lemon peel, orange and hint of banana. Light bodied, but with a nice refreshing carbonation. Would be perfect in the summer! mcdav2154 (297), Germany
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 5/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Oct 22, 2009 Cloudy golden color with a huge head. Good lacing. Sediment everywhere. Smell and taste are bananas, yeast, lemon, and the tang of pineapple. A little high on carbonation but not annoying. This is my first witbier so I can’t wait to compare this to others.
