On tap at the Cheeky Monk in Denver. Wow, underrated beer! Great hazy orangish-blond appearance with a huge, lasting creamy white head and great lacing. Aroma is wheat, yeast, citrus, banana, and coriander. Flavor is pale malt and wheat, yeast, coriander and other spices, orange peel, banana, and clove. A bit sweet, but not too much. Palate is smooth and fairly light with soft carbonation. High drinkability. A great witbier!

I’m really more of a bavarian weat beer kind of guy, minus the lederhosen. There have to be something extra in a wit to make me smile. Unfortinately this one don’t have that extra to it. While being very refreshing, it’s not much more than that.

330ml bottle. Mountain of deep snow white foam atop a pale opaque light honey coloured base. Aromas of citrus and cloves. Sweet yeasty notes come through with a lively mouthfeel and a sweet zestiness. A little light but substantial enough.

It poured a hazy golden liquid with a huge white foam that left allot of lacing. I like the look of these kinds of beer, maybe it could have been a bit more hazy but that’s getting a bit picky. It had a strong and fresh smell of yeast, coriander and foam banana. It was quite fresh and nice, nothing really to complain about. The initial mouthfeel was a bit stingy with lots of carbonation. After swirling it around a bit it got better and the flavours started to come out. The first I noticed was the yeast, it was present on the first sip but after a while the coriander and foam banana started to come out. There was also some sweetness. The body was medium thick and I would have actually prefered it a bit thicker as it became a bit watery after a while. Overall a nice beer and I think it would be better during a hot summer day.

Bottle from Utobeer market stall. Pours a cloudy pale lemon-yellow. Big white head. Aromas of grapefruit, citrus and sweet spices. Flavours of lemons, grapefruits, tangerines, limes. Finishes with a nice citrus kick. Very easy to drink!

(Draught at In De Wildeman, Amsterdam, 31 July 2009) Pale yellow colour with frothy, white head. Fruity, wheaty nose with citrus and spices. Slightly citric. Fruity, wheaty taste with notes of citrus, spices and a touch of grass. Thin body, balanced sweetness. Refreshing and decent witbier.

Thanks to Keith for the bottle! Poured slightly hazy straw golden with a tall, fizzy cap of white head. The aroma picked up soft toasted bananas, tangy wheat, and lemon zest.. bready sweetness supported, and gave it a soft overall impression despite the tangy character. The flavor found a pinch of honey along with the bready notes at the core, with tart lemon, wheat, and earthy character around.. finished sour with a bit of tacky malt. Light-medium bodied with rolling carbonation on the palate.. balance wasn’t quite there, although it was refreshing in the end.

Clear yellow beer with a small head. Served in a "regular" trappist-glass, so that might be the reason for the bad score on appearance. It’s pretty soury, but it fades very rapidly.
