This beers is proud to be the ’only Trappist witbier in the world’. That may be true, but this brew has no Trapist quality. It’s nice, yes, but not as complex and delicious as many other Trappists.

33cl @ home, gift from my brother; golden colour, with big foam; medium carbo; smell is lemony; taste as well, slighty bitter. Decent.

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Colour: Pale gold with a decent head.
Nose: Citrus, grassy, wheat toast and some vanilla notes.
Flavours: Fruity (banana, orange, lemon), again vanilla. Some nougat and barley notes.
Finish: Medium long, refreshing, thirst-quenching.
Verdict: Fine witbier, though it tastes not a whole lot better than a witbier from "ordinary" brewers.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle. This is how a belgian white shall taste. Pale hazy yellow with medium dense white head. Aroma oranges, hay, coriander wheat. Taste sweet wheat notes, banana, slight bitterness. Really good. I really consider, if I should stay true to my old rating, or just rate this one to style and give it a cleancut 5.0

On tap @ the brewery during a tasting attended with my father in law. Hazy white yellow body with a white head. Aroma of citrus, cloves and yeast. Taste wise it’s a typical Belgian white. Decent but slightly boring.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Draft sample. Pours hazy golden color with an average creamy white head that was mostly lasting with good lacing. Moderate spice and yeast aroma. Medium body to a smooth texture and soft carbonation. Medium spice sweet flavor with a medium sweet finish of an average duration. My expectations where met.

Draft to taster. Looks decent; a slightly hazy gold with white lacing. Smells of dough, Belgian yeast, and mild clove and citrus. Tastes like it smells with an average mouthfeel. Okay.

Good beer. You can taste light citrics notes with the wheat. Light body and refreshing.
