3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
This bottled brew poured a very large head of foamy off white colored long lasting finely sized bubbles that left behind a carbonated semi-hazy yellow orange colored body and a good lace. The aroma was mild with malty and floral notes. The mouthfeel was smooth, slightly bubbly and slightly tingly from start to finish while the flavor was mild with a butter afterbite with coriander yeast mild fruit banana aprocot and doughy notes,

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle. An average sized white head that was frothy with fine-small sized bubbles that were mostly lasting. The body was transparent with fast rising carbonation and a golden hue. The nose was malty, some hop notes, sweet, citrusy, and some notes of berries. The flavor was sweet, fruity, smooth, and somewhat sour and tart. The texture was smooth and dry. This was a light-medium bodied beer with average amounts of lacing on the sides of my glass.

Very light hazy yellow body with a small white head. Nose of yeast and citrus. Aroma is yeast and malt with a sour aftertaste. What a dissapointment, I had expectet more from De Koningshoeven...

Hazy blond color. The aroma is light, with some spices and banana. Quite light mouthfeel, with some sweetness, some banana. The end turns to be a bit dry and fruity. Useless.

Light blond color. Light aroma, malt, lemon, coriander. Light mouthfeel, dry but quite smooth, some malt, a lot of spices (cloves). Short final.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Pours copper with a white head. Scent is somewhat berry-like. Taste is sweet and tart, reminding me strongly of green apples. Effervescent and sparkly, yet smooth. A nice, friendly beer.

3.9 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
[Note: This rating is for "Blond Trappist Ale" from Koningshoeven. According to their website (www.latrappe.nl) they only have a Blonde, a Dubbel, a Tripel, and a quadrupel. My translations skills are meager at best, but I think the blonde and the Witte are the same beer based on the descriptions.] Copper tone, sweet aroma, sour taste. Well balanced with a nice sour tartness, nice aftertaste. Effervescence and sour/sweet mix bought lambic to mind, but retained all the creaminess of a witte. Not bad, but lacking something.

The aroma is spicy dominated by lemon. The color is an unclear light yellow and it has a beutiful head. The flavor is sweet with notes of wheat, lemon, and corriander. The body is somewhat watery.

Was not too impressed with this brew. There are far better wit beers than this one. I don't understand what the name Trappist has to do with this beer.
