The world’s first and only Trappist white ale that continues to ferment slightly after bottling. Brewed using only water, wheat, and hops. No herbs are added. Saphir hops give the ale its citrusy aroma. A real thirst-quencher on a hot summer’s day that also makes for a delicious drink at any other time of the year.

Pours cloudy copper golden with a decent head. Wheat aroma, not very strong. Taste of citrus and spices. Slight on the sour side. Small noticable bitterness lingering in the finish along with the sourness. Light bodied and slight watery. High carbonation.

Robe blonde et opaque. Mousse bien. Saveurs d’ agrumes et fruits jaunes. Texture epaisse, carbonatation fine. Assez longue en bouche. Je suis un peu déçu. Je m’attendais à mieux d’une trappiste.

Bottle 330ml. Clear light yellow with big stable frothy white head, quite fizzy. Aroma of wheat and orange, earthy with notes of candy, a bit sweaty. Flavor of citrus and wheat, notes of herbs and black pepper, moderate bitterness, a bit watery. Very carbonated, light to medium-bodied.

What a beauty. The beer has a yellow color. It is quite pale, with a whit glow, it really fulfills the name witbier. The foam is quite rough but perfectly white. The bulk disapears quickly, but there remains a thin layer of foam to cover the treat. The smell is perfect. There is this remarkable La Trappe aroma, delicious. The smell is sweet and has a hint of white chocolate. Very nice. The smell is filled with aroma’s, more to describe. Already the best witbier around, without even tasting. The taste is good. It has the bitterness of beer and the sweetness a decent witbier is supposed to have. Perfect, the monks of the O.L.V. Koningshoeve monastery resly know how to brew beer. Great.

Dorata pallida, velata dai lieviti in sospensione, schiuma bianca poco persistente. Aroma di frumento, lieve citrico, coriandolo e miele. Stesse note palatali con corpo medio-leggero, non molto carbonata. Retrolfatto citrico è lievemente speziato. Acquosa, molto beverina ma anche molto monotona...

33cl bottle at home from Mitra, Maarssen. Body is opalescent, pale, head is big, white, creamy, mostly lasting, excellent lacing. Nose is pearl, flavor is fruity, apple, banana, pearl, light cereal, milky. Medium to heavy sweet, light fruity sour, slightly acidic. Finish is medium lasting fruity malty medium sweet, light sour, later slightly hoppy bitter. Medium body, creamy texture, average carbonation. Easy, very refreshing, simple summer beer.

Draft pour at the source. Pours a pale yellow with a big white head of foam. The aroma is lightly spicy and a little citrusy. Some wheat notes as well. Moderate bitterness in the taste. Light in body and medium carbonation.

Een heerlijk verfrissende trappist. Rijker van smaak dan hefeweizener. Duidelijke gistsmaak LT aanwezig. Mooie schuimkop.

on tap @ Ei8ht Ball / Bellevue KY --- Cloudy straw color, with a white head cover, sheets of lace. Taste is wheat and malt that adds fizz and spiced banana on the swallow, with sweet bursting through until light bittering pulls things into balance at the end. A well-balanced, easy drinking brew.
