1.9 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20 paulvanpelt (163) - Reusel, NETHERLANDS - MAR 9, 2013
Bleekgeel bier, wit schuim. Heeft het typische zurige van witbier. Vrij veel koolzuur, aroma van mandarijnen. Niet mijn smaak...
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 13/20 MADpalace (156) - Budel, NETHERLANDS - MAY 20, 2012
Light yellow citron color. Typical white beer smell of fresh citrus with warm feeling. Taste is a bit watery, not as strong as some other white beers. More like alcohol-free white beers?
3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 simoneopazz (148) - , ITALY - MAY 11, 2010
2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20 Bozo_skeleton (147) - Grenoble, FRANCE - FEB 28, 2013
Un arôme épicé dominé par le citron. La couleur est un jaune pâle avec une belle mousse. La saveur est douce avec des notes de blé, de citron. Le finish est trop sec.
3.9 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 LordHedgehog (144) - Westminster, Maryland, USA - DEC 22, 2003
[Note: This rating is for "Blond Trappist Ale" from Koningshoeven. According to their website (www.latrappe.nl) they only have a Blonde, a Dubbel, a Tripel, and a quadrupel. My translations skills are meager at best, but I think the blonde and the Witte are the same beer based on the descriptions.] Copper tone, sweet aroma, sour taste. Well balanced with a nice sour tartness, nice aftertaste. Effervescence and sour/sweet mix bought lambic to mind, but retained all the creaminess of a witte. Not bad, but lacking something.
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 buzz_and_hum (144) - Wellington, NEW ZEALAND - AUG 22, 2011
Not bad. Banana and bread dough on the nose, pours pale, frothy and attractive. Fairly unobtrusive as drunk, a bit sweet, a bit of funkiness from the yeast. Wouldn’t say no to another, unless better ales were available.
3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20 rakkasan (142) - Bresso, ITALY - MAY 9, 2010

2.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 Odland (137) - NORWAY - MAR 27, 2011
Bottle, kindly shared by abemorsten. Pours hazy golden with minimal head. A default wit bier. Nothing special about this. Highly carbonated.
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 SteC (130) - Oostende, BELGIUM - AUG 12, 2003
It is in fact a dishonour that they name this beer 'trappist'. The brewery of de koningshoeven is not a real trappist brewery, and they should nog use the name confusingly.
Very pale for a white one. Lemony colour. The taste is a typical white one, with all the elements in it: korinader, citrus tastes, some bitterness, a little bit fruity. No exciting beer.
3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Melker (128) - Varberg, SWEDEN - NOV 13, 2012
Bought as La Trappe Witte Trappist. Hazy golden colour. White fluffy head.
Orange peels, wheat, yeast, hay. Decent.
