Has ’just drink me’ written all over it in the glass. Mahogany tinged brown and shimmering. A good 50mL’s of beer held aloft in its three inches of rocky off-white foam that holds on for the length. The lace thick and messy. Heavily roasted malt nose with lashings of Biltong, sticky, burnt sugar, cola, carob bean and molasses. Creamy, soft and silky in the mouth giving it the illusion of a big bodied lager. Sweet, malty rich start with a depth of chocolate and dusty, roasted carob. Powdery, dry swallow has a lingering taste of charred grain and smoke. Bitter malt peak. Subtle touch of rust blends in well. Flavoursome, balanced and aromatic. A solid Schwarzbier. 50 cl. flaske. 4,4% . Endnu en suveræn mørk tjekkisk pivo. Mørk øl i den, efter min smag, ægte topklasse

0.5 bottle. Medium, thin, brownish head, clear, a mix of brown and crimson. Sweet malty aroma, toasted caramel, toffee, coffee. Light bitter taste, more hoppy than expected but still malts drastically predominate, slightly dry. The main flavors are: smoked malts, firewood, some chocolate. Medium body, oily texture and below average carbonation, seems kind of watery. Finish is short, unsurprising. Overall the beer is ok, especially considering its price. Nothing remarkable but drinkable.

Gravity at Cambridge Beer Festival 2013. Dark brown colour, amazing retention on the head and lacing. Sweet and malty, rounded, caramel, hint of bitter slightly earthy finish. This bitterness makes it drinkable and moreish not cloying. Good solid beer, you could have a few of these.
