Lovely Brown with big white head. Nutty, malty, caramel like bouquet followed by a smooth well balanced red ale. A lot more carbonation than expected

Bottle. Murky brown/red. Attractive cream head. Aromas of burnt caramel, biscuit, sticky date pudding, chocolate and just a hint of fruity hop. Roasted malt, hints of chocolate, biscuit, perhaps a hint of cherry and a touch of citrusy hop to make an interesting finish. Minimal carbonation. Really like this one. I wish more micro brewers would look towards England rather than the default us of a.

Really enjoyed this very malty ale. Don’t know what an English Red Ale should be like, but this is certainly to my taste. Lovely rich toffee malt, with something extra I found hard to define, perhaps a smokiness. Could regularly drink this in late autumn and into winter. Would go well with richly flavoured/sauced foods.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
I reckon this is a pretty sound English red ale, ticks all the boxes; earthy hop flavour, complex malts with hints of caramel biscuit etc. Very good and will drink again.

Brownish red with a creamy beige head. Sweet fruit and wheat aroma (not too wheaty). Lovely light sweet flavour. A great summer beer. A bit light, but regardless a solid drop.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Draught @ Belgian Bier Cafe in Brisbane. Cloudy red-brown pour with small white head. Toasted caramel malts and light fruity hops on the nose and tongue with a crafted smooth palate and light bitterness. A well brewed example of the style.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
Draught at Embassy Hotel, Brisbane. Poured an opaque brownish red with a thin light tan foamy head that retained well but laced poorly. No visible carbonation. Aroma of malt and a trace of sweet caramel. Taste of earthy malt, sharp sweet fruit (possibly berries) and very faint bitterness. Light to medium body. Smooth sweet earthy and very faintly bitter finish. OK.

Bottle from Mane Liquor. Pours chestnut brown with a small yellow head. Nose is very pronounced toffee and citrus hops. Quite toffee and biscuit forward in the taste with citrus throughout and a nice dose of hoppy bitterness to finish it off. Solid stuff
