Lovely stout, I totally dig how it tries to capture the spirit of coal miners.

Bottled at Weekend der Belgische Bieren, Hasselt, Belgium Blacky body, lightly brown head. Aroma of sweet, strong malts. Very strong malty flavour: moderately bitter, lightly sweet. Quite complex flavour. The bitterness grows stronger to the end. Fully bodied. I thought this was a lovely stout.
0.9 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 1/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 2/20 JorisPPattyn (7308) - Antwerpen, BELGIUM - NOV 12, 2006
No head; fully hazy like a brushes-rincer. Woodstainer with prunes and glue and acetone or other ketones. UUGH. What is this? I can hardly swallow a sip. Rotting wood and medlars overdone, again ketones. MF: obviously dangerous for teeth and mucoses. De PROEF???? This tastes as a drink for Terry Pratchetts’ trolls at Ankh-Morpork.
