3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours dark brown, head is medium fades after few minutes, small lacing. Aroma is smoky and chocolate, quite intensive. Very good! Taste is smoked (wood). Some dark chocolate mixed with nuts. Bitterness is medium (I expected stronger). This beer have a potential, but needs more body (maybe higher extract?).

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle. Almost black with a medium head. Aroma is smoked dark chocolate, where the smoke is also intertwined with an ashy roastiness and notes of coffee, plus fruity hints. The smokiness is more woody than meaty, bonfire-like. Surprisingly light body, which at first seems to be a small let-down but eventually manages to succeed - this beer tastes progressively better the more you drink. High on bitterness, partly roasty, partly citrus peel hoppy, with a nice aftertaste of ash, smoke and coffee. Very worthwhile effort, more of a stout than a porter in my opinion.
