SangreSani (10) - POLAND - SEP 16, 2014
Aroma: a lot of hops and malts, some caramel, many chocolate hints, bread, smoked scents, a little bit of plum or wine-like things. Appearance: black-brown with short but very long lasting head with lacing. 90% opaque. Taste: Sweet with some light to medium bitterness Palate: Full body, thick texture, low carbonated with pleasant bitterness in the finish. Warm in throat. A little bit astringent, almost insensible. Amazing beer. One of the best I ever drank.

goleiro (134) - Lublin, POLAND - SEP 15, 2014
Smak zaskakująco płytki i "ubogi w smak".

Buczer (236) - Pabianice, POLAND - SEP 2, 2014
Bottle (date 5.08.2014). Pours very dark brown, clear with some ruby reflexes. Beige, quite stable head that leaves some lacing. Nice complex aroma, you can find there some chocolate, dried plums, raisins, roasted malts an subtle note of some good alcohol. In taste some dried fruits, liquor, slightly roasted, light sweetness. Alcohol warming in the throat. Thick feel. soft carbonation.

Porzadny porter baltycki z bezowa spora i w miare trwala piana. Zdobywca Europen Beer Star w 2012r z pewnoscia slucznie.

Bottle sample at a tasting at our place. Thanks Stas. Headless dark brown. Very roasty, a little coffee and chocolate aroma, a little alcoholic but big and malty - a little roast too. Fuul-bodied, woody finish.

500ml bottle [Tanja & Verena, thank you very much again, you have a knack for detecting a gem on every journey you take]. Darkest brown colour with late awakening, average to huge, thick, creamy, fairly lasting, moderately lacing, tan head. Spicy dark malty aroma has notes of roast, dark chocolate, lovage, treacle, liquorice. Taste is moderately sweet dark malty, hints of treacle, dark chocolate, also a dry, roasty dark malty as well as a slightly nuttily touch, some liquorice; oily texture, sticky palate. Rich but not complex (in Luhmann definition: a system is complex iff not all components of the system are directly connected to each other), i.e. balanced and integrated.

Clear, deep brown colour. Frothy and long lasting, beige head. Intense aroma of coffee and roasted malt. Medium bitterness, full body. Taste is coffee without signs of alcohol. Very good Baltic Porter from country where this style was born.
