Aroma is sweet with syrup, roasted notes, honey and cocoa. Also hints of metal. Flavour has well roasted malt, some dark chocolate. Very sweet, sugary finish with coffee. A bit too much on the sweet side but good anyway. Drinking big amounts this would be challenging though. 6+4+7+3+15=3.5

50 cl bottle @ HeBF’13, BBE 16.11.2013
Aroma has well roastiness, cocoa, grilled meat, smoke and distant spicy notes. Flavour has well roasted malt, some spicy notes, grilled meat with BBQ sauce, coffee and some cocoa. Smooth and nice, better than I remembered. Still too sweet though.

Bottle sampled at GBF 2012. Almost black with a beige to light brown head. Creamy aroma with toffee. Taste: roasted, chocolate, toffee, fruit and light licorice. Above medium-bodied. Glad I tried this one.

Very dark brown. No head. The aroma is mostly molasses, not bad but without much nuance. Chewy and dense albeit lacking in nuance and complexity.

Bottle at EBBC12, dark red-brown with a coffee crema head, treacle, liquorice and tobacco on the nose, plum and redcurrant sweetness, a bit cloying in the aftertaste.

Dark brown in colour, with a frothy head. Aromas of chocolate and port. Flavour is sweet and long-lasting. The palate is oily, and it has an alcoholic finish.

Bottle. A reddish dark brown beer, looking clear, and it’s topped by a minimal sized dark beige head. The aroma has some butterscotch, as well as toffee and molasses. Sweetness, a solid dose of licorice, some roasted malts, a faint alcohol touch and molasses in the flavor. Full body, lightly sticky on the palate. Roasted end. Overall, certainly a nice Baltic porter. 110610
