Date do 29/08/2016, seasoned one year in brewery, but ití was sold like a standard edition with standard price. Pitch black, small brown head fastly disappearing. Great aroma, just like high class RIS - of course itís high class baltic porter :) - dark chocolate and coffe aroma, hints of truffles and raisins. Rather balanced taste, maybe a little sweet. Maybe a little bit of liquor, but the beer is very mature. Taste is just like aroma, very complex. Full bodied, almost oily texture and soft carbonation, very well. This is the beer that won European Beer Star. One of the greatest baltic porters, definitely. Sadly got only one bottle.

W zapachu dominuje kawa. Piana ładna, kremowa, oblepia szklankę do końca.

Bottle 0,5l Expire date: 03.05.2014 Dark brown, dark ruby color. Huge creamy, pale brown foam. Aroma: roasted malts, raisins, dried fruits (plums), caramel, cherry liqueur, some porto wine. Love this smell. Taste: balance between sweet and bitter. Roasted malts, cherry, dark chocolate, raisins, dried fruits, coffee and chocolate liqueur. Long warming finish. Full body with a thick texture. For me one of the greatest Polish Baltic Porter.

Bottle, many thanks to the kindness of the great Eldesmadre. Itís an honour to try this beer, not only because I particularly love Baltic Porters, but also for its name. Itís not always that you can get a traditional beer formally named after a shag. So, this has a nice, dark, coca cola appearance, very dark, with a nice light beige head, rather bubbly to start with. The aromas are a mix of dark chocolate, caramels and plums. Very enticing to the nose. Drinking this beer was nice and warming, with flavours full of dark chocolates, dulce de leche, cherry liquor, plums and all sorts of forest fruits. Talking about all sorts, some interesting liquorice presence too. I can get molasses and plenty of booze. In spite of that noticeable alcohol, it is easy and terribly pleasant to drink. Thereís a mild bitterness, from a herbal source, perhaps from that boozy, spicy Schnapps-type of flavour. Medium bodied, with less carbonation than initially suggested by the appearance. Delightful stuff.

UPDATED: FEB 21, 2016 Beautiful coffee and roast aroma. Speaking about the dye I think itís too bright, too transparent. But has amazing lacing. Taste is just like aroma, but much stronger, just awesome. You can feel a little bit of alcohol, but itís not disturbing at all. Overall itís just great great beer!

Aged bottle for a year. Aroma of chocolate and plum in an alcohol. Dark brown colour with tan head. Taste is medium sweet with plums, cherries, chocolate, liqueur with nice low to medium herbal bitterness at the finish. Overall very good Baltic Porter, worth aging.

Aromat czekoladowy, palony, kawowy, śliwka w czekoladzie. W smaku kawowe, czekoladowe, śliwka, lekko palony. Długi posmak, alkohol niewyczuwalny, bardzo dobrze się ukrył. Warka lekko po terminie (10.05.2011).

Very Sweet malty aroma. Strong flavour ot roast malt making this beer a little sour and bitter at the beginning with very sweet finish. Alcohol notes not very prominent for a beer with 9% ABV. Head very thick and brown. Colour nearly jet black. Still has some brownish golden accent in it. I enjoyed this beer very much. On of the best baltic porters i drank.

Pours pitch black with minimal lacing. Aroma is coffee notes, espresso, chocolate and roasted malt. The initial taste reveals some espresso, chocolate with some bitterness. A nice balanced beer thatís easy to drink despite the abv, which is well hidden. I wouldnít turn another one down.
