Black color with beige foam head. The smell is malty with hints of nuts. The taste is roaste, well carbonated and has roasty coffee aromas. The aftertaste is dry with hints of coffee.

Flaske og fad: Farven er sort og skumkronen er nougatfarvet og fast. Aromaen er ristet/brændt malt og smagen er ligså. Eftersmagen er vedholdende og minder om mørkt rugbrød.

Bottle at home. Rogge en gebrand graan. Niet zoet en dat is fijn. Potgrond! Droog, en toch wel gek zo’n zwart dropje met weinig alcohol. Waterig.. Backlog from 2015/05/07.

Aroma of roasted malt, cereal, oats, wood and hints of hops, spruce, resin and dark honey. Pours opaque black liquid with a medium-sized dark white head. Medium bitterness, medium-low sweetness and little sourness with a flavour range of barley, caramel, dark chocolate, dark honey, spruce and hints of lemon grass. Medium body with a creamy, soft texture and soft carbonation, flat finish.

From bottle into tulip. Black with a foaming beige head. Soft aroma of toasted malts. Roasted malts upfront, medium carbonation to soften the impact and then something at the back - coffee? smoke? Not sure, but slightly bitter. Bitterness finishes fairly quickly and the malts reappear as they linger on the palate. Enjoyable mouthfeel - neither thin nor silky, just medium and right for the flavours. A good, highly drinkable beer - quite sessionable and the best of the style I’ve had so far.

One and a half inch thick, creamy, porcelain dense, brown, foam head that dissipates to a plated ring of tiny and medium size bubbles. Woodstain brown/black colour. Opaque so its hard to identify if it is filtered or not. Heavy aromas of cold wet pasta. Faint notes of dark berries and even yeasty hints. It’s dark chocolate, bittersweet and off balance. Initially sharp and sweet, and malty then offset with coffee flavours. Ends dry mouth with a lingering aftertaste of licorice and spice.
