Z butelki prawie pilsowy zapach – typowo ziołowe kontynentalne chmiele i nieco słodu.

330 ml bottle bought at Cheers in Yuen Long.

Clear deep Cola black colour; Less than one-quarter finger head and residual soapy beige foam which fades in 20 seconds; Small sticky lacing and near zero carbonation; Quite fragrant aroma of roasted malt, with light black coffee, cream, caramel, sugar, very light lemon and light grass; Very light sweet taste of lightly roasted malt, with roasted nuts, Cola, black coffee, strong burnt toast, light caramel, light lime, light bitter hops and strawy grass; Mid to light body. Thin palate; Mouth feel is light body and thin fairly roasted dark malt in strong, Coke Zero like background. Notable roast peanuts and strong burnt toast. Sweetness is minimal, good black coffee and not much cream. Very in-yer-face black beer. Nice!... Hoppiness is light grassy nose. Light lime and very strawy hop in taste. Bitterness is moderate to strong, well mixed with roasted malt for a lasting, moderately astringent and roasty finish; Quite dry after taste; Toasty and quite bitter to mouth.

Comments: A very by-the-book Schwarz. It’s simple in aroma and taste make-up, with not a lot of varieties, yet the roast and burnt toast hit hard when it matters. Solid, nicely bittered and really enjoyable!

Aroma is roasted with very light desert chocolate notes, light rye bread notes. Taste is light sweet with light bitterness. Long pleasant roasted aftertaste with light chocolate and raisins. Overall this is a good light dark beer, not so dry as expected. BB: 17/03/15 so I need to re-taste it.

330ml bottle, pours dark ruby black with a small tan head. Chocolatey roasty malt with raisin, creamy on the palate to start which thins out on the finish, nicely balanced with light bitterness, lively carbonation with a crisp peppery finish.
