Bottle. Black color with a small off-white head. Roasted, roasted and roasted. Some berries, red berries and sweetness. Light smoked. Some bitterness. Nice roasted and dry finish.

A red almost black beer with a beutiful head. It has a slightly sweet aroma and a sweet malty and only slightly bitter taste. All in all a good beer that I’ll have again.

50 cL bottle. Pours black with a dense light brown head. Roasted malt aroma. Roasted malt flavour, slight breadish. Medium dry. Finish is the same persisting roasted malt flavour with almost no sweetness.

(Bottle 50 cl) "The black in the blonde soul" the back-label claims. Perhaps a quote by Goethe who supposedly was a great lover of this beer. Pitch black it is with a full, dense light-brown head. Nice body with full throttle on the hops. Very dry and immensely pretty. 291099

Bottled. Dark ruby red colour, small beige head. Malty aroma with burnt hints. Burnt malt with hints of hops and hay in flavour. Quite dry overall, but very wellbalanced Schwarzbier.

Black. Distinct roastiness, relatively dry and somewhat bitter. I was hoping for more though.

Light roasted aroma of caramel, malts and brewmash.
Flavour of malts and caramel with roasted notes and notes of coffee.

Draught. Pours a black colour with a longlasting tan head. Sweet roasted aroma with some hints of caramel and chocolate. Sweet roasted malty flavor with hints of chocolate. Dry malty finish with a bitter aftertaste.

UPDATED: OCT 25, 2009 Can 50cl: Dark amber brown with off white head. . Malty nutty sweet aroma. Thin body low carbonation. Malts & dried fruits. Metallic/can flavor - not very pleaant. Drinkable. Rerating: Dronning Louise 09. Phat sweet caramel with a little roastiness. Med bodied. Fine.

Dark mahogany color. Light but nice roasted malt aroma. Medium strength, pretty good caramel and bitterness. Balanced Schwarz.
