Bottle from the University plaza LCBO. Pours an opaque colour, fluffy tan head, lots of lace. Looks almost stout like. Nose is a touch roasted malt, and quite lager smelling. Tastes light amg roasty, with a bitter finish. Decent, session able.

A beer for the big market. I like the style and the beer is fine, but it doesn’t have as much flavour as most craft beers. Of course there’s roasted malts with some caramel. Not very bitter, but a bit sour. Definitely more interesting than the majority of beers from the big breweries.

Has a bit of everything: Bitterhops and cofffeeground for the nose. Dark brown color and creamy brown head for the eye. And roasted a bit ashen flavors with a dry finish for the palate. It might be a bit overhyped, but it is still a very nice beer

500ml bottle. Malty, sweet, hint of hops, hint of fruit. A decent but unremarkable example of the beer type.

Pours dark brown with big thick beige head. Aroma is caramel, cocoa, roasted malt, some nuts. Taste is quite watery, light. Crispy, roasted malt, mild hops, some oily bread. Body is light, but still some toasted after stays. Easy to drink and not very bad.

Can pour into nonic glass from Epsom Circle Market. Aroma is bready, toasted malt with a bit of yeasty sour bordering on bile. Appearance is dark mahogany with two finger-width foamy light brown head with fair retention and sticky foam lacing. Taste is light malty sweetness with roasted quality, mild bitterness. Palate is medium bodied with somewhat creamy texture (especially if you get some of the foamy head), lively carbonation (a bit too much--stings the lips and takes away from the otherwise creamy, mellow mouth feel), dry slightly bitter finish. Overall, this is OK without any real standout qualities but no glaring faults either.
