UPDATED: NOV 15, 2009 Draft. Hmm... a good black bread taste. Brown body, spicy nose. Nicely roasted body, and a slightly smoky taste to boot. Haven’t had enough schwartzbiers yet to be sure of my rankings, so far they don’t totally grab me.

Dark brown to black colored, medium strong a bit creamy tan head. Aroma is of caramel, Munich, nuts and bit of roasted malt. Taste is moderate sweet caramel, some Munich malt, some nuts, toasted bread and not too strong roasty dryish finish with low+ bitterness. Light to medium bodied, a bit watery texture, medium carbonation. Opinions vary with each bottle, always better from a 0.33.

Pours an opaque black with medium soapy head and some lacing. Aroma is of roasted malts, nuts and coffee. Flavor is not strong, but has a good bitter finish, Body is medium without much carbonation. Easily drinkable I was hoping for something more distinctive.
