Orange, small tight head. Banana and toffee aroma. Quite fizzy palate, sharp carbonation, quite harsh. Very toffee-ey taste, banana too. Too fizzy, but otherwise would be very refreshing. Very authentic hefeweizen.

May 22, 2008 Draught at Koulu. Brownish orange with small firm head. Yeasty and sweet malty flavor with banana and some citrus fruits. Quite sweet flavor with not much yeasty elements. Light to medium bodied and a bit thin. Nice fruity hefeweizen without over dominating banana ester. Not very interesting though.

Jul 15, 2006 Draught at Koulu. Amber color, quite clear. Strong clove aroma with sweetish banana notes. Sweet flavor with strong, smoky clove character. Silky mouthfeel. Dry spices, pepper, clove and wood in the finish. Clove overload and too sweet, still quite nice in the lovely beer garden of Koulu.

Jul 2, 2006 Updated: Jan 5, 2007Draught@Koulu. Hazy light brown in colour. Minor white headIt has a sweet and wheaty aroma . The flavour is sweet and wheaty with malt.I has a sweet aftertaste and it’s quite lovely.

Jun 20, 2006 [Draught at the brewpub] Cloudy orange colour, small creamy head. Aroma of ripe banana with evident fruity esters as well as menthe. Sweet with low carbonation and some light grainy/mustardy malt flavour. The desired estery yeast character is definitely there, but it’s too sweet to be refreshing.
