2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Keg, 6.3% ABV, at Kitty’s Public House, thanks to Matti for sharing. Rocky, beige head fading to a filmy layer. Good looking with its deep, mahogany coloured body. Aroma of plain, dark malts. Slightly burnt, malty taste containing hints of chocolate and caramel. Straight, malt-accented beer (Helsinki pub crawl, 06.02.2011).

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
(Draught at Kitty’s, Helsinki - shared with Rune) The beer poured dark brown and clear. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had roastedness and molasses. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were malts, roastedness, sweetness, burntness and bitterness. Aftertaste was bitter and quite burn. I found this beer quite burnt for a dunkel but it was still quite pleasant.

Draught, at U Slovanské Lípy, Prague. Pretty brown orange colro with a tight head. Almost wine like. Caramel, big and sugary, but with a lightly burnt, earthy edge. Light and smooth, but rich and velvety. Rather faint caramel and cream nose. A lovely dunkel. Interesting, original. drinkable.
