[on tap] Some grapefruit and soft banana nots in the aroma together with a dark malt bubblegum. Clear dark brown with a lasting, lacy, off-whitish blanket. Gingerbread and liquorice flavour remeniscent of the Anchor christmas beer (old special?) Dark malt characteristics and sourish with a subtle bitterness that increases in the finish. Perceptible hops. Medium carbonation, medium body, lasting bitterness but not annoingly so.

ogivlado (5384) - Zagreb, CROATIA - JUL 15, 2008
Draught at Koutland, Plzen.
Dark brown coloured, medium sized cappuccino head, mild roasted nose. The taste is also light roasted, very fruity and chocolate with notes of yeast and hops. Also some vinous notes in the finish.

thewolf (10767) - Kolding, DENMARK - JUL 11, 2008
Tap @ Koutland, Plzen.
Pours hazy brown with a pretty, creamy, off-white head. Aroma is lightly roasted with a wonderful, light, chocolate tone. Pleasant balance between aroma and flavour. Quite high carbonation, otherwise fine mouthfeel. Flavour is rather sweet, some caramel and sugar, but thankfully also a good dose of roasted malts. Super balanced.

(Draught) Pours dark brown. The aroma is fruity with light notes of dark berries alongside some dark bready malt, light toast, tiny roast and some earthy hops to back it up. The flavour is of dark bready malt, some earth, grassy bitter hops, dark berries and some light fruity notes. The mouthfeel is clean and dry. Some soft roast in the finish. Medium bodied. This is the least interesting beer in the lineup from this brewery. Still good.

Draught at Koutland, Plzen. Dark brown / red with cream head. Toffee, caramel flavours to the fore with hints of liquorice. Surprisingly relatively dry in character even though there is a slight acidic fruitiness. Bitter and vinous on the finish, quite unusual but certainly has an interest.

On tap at Koutland, Plzen. Very deep ruby/brown. Some sickly red fruit, which Patrik rightly says normally means it’s infected, but with this it could just be the malt. It could be a bit dodgy. Finish has some dryness, bit of fruit sourness. Not sure I like this.

rickgordon (3841) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - JUL 7, 2008
Draught at Koutland, Plzen. Dark hazy brown colour. A dunkel with the regular sensations such as dark fruits, molasses but not awfully sweet. Suffers from lots of butterscotch. Bit too much.
