I was very surprised, when I realized, that I didn’t rate this beer, although I drunk it several times in past. So I gathered it and I am ready to rate. Bottle. Dark chestnut color with medium light beige head. Roasty aroma with caramel, hints of bitter hops. Taste, roasted malt, caramel, some fruitiness, hints of coffee. Light bitterness in dry finish. Easy drinkable, good beer.

Bottle 50cl, a dark beer with low head. Nose is on caramel notes, aroma is nice on caramel, brown malt, toffee, roasted malt, nice body for such a low alcohol level. Caramel and toasted cereal on aftertaste good !

Bottle. Caramel and candy sugar in the aroma, with subtle notes of coffee, chocolate and licorice. Boring but quite allright. Taste is too sweet and too evidently caramelly. Faintly bitter and faintly coffeeish finish. Passable as a breakfast beer.

Bottle- Nice dark colour with a dark foamy head. A nice beer with a good malt profile.

A not bad and light beer. In the aroma one finds some sweetness from dark malts. The saturation is pretty high. One of the significant disadvantage is metallic taste.

On tap @ Pavel Ploc, Harrachov. Pours clear dark brown with stable, thick light tan head. Clear aroma of malt and caramel. Sweetish taste of malt with notes of roast, caramel and fruit. Dryish aftertaste. Would be better without the metallic finish, but it’s ok.

On tap at The Czech Inn, Dublin. Deep reddish brown colour with thick off-white head. Aroma is heavy caramel, light red fruit, and a slight vegetal note. Taste brings a lot of rich, sweet caramel with some hints of herb and red/dark fruit (although not too much to be honest). Pretty sweet all round with a lot of lingering sugary caramel stuff going on - becomes fairly cloying after a while. Not too bad, but I can't imagine drinking too much of this.

Pours a deep brownish color with a healthy tan head that fades slowly to good lacing. Aroma of dark fruit, roasted malt bit of chocolate and spice. Taste of dark fruit, some chocolate, roasted malt and bit of coffee in the background. Very mild bitterness and a slightly sweet finish.. Moderate body, a bit on the light side. Smooth and creamy but missing something to make it distinctive. Decent beer but comes up a bit short for a Czech beer.

Bottle shared with McTapps. A nice surprise ! But a watery one... Nice aroma of malt, sugar and fruit combined with a slightly sweetish taste. Maybe due to its low alc this one seems to be a bit watery. Put it up to 5,5 % and the same taste, then you’ll get a 4,2 in the score !
